Billy Bolt Dominates SuperEnduro Rnd 6 Despite Challenges
In the electrifying atmosphere of SuperEnduro Rnd 6 within the Sofia Arena, Billy Bolt showcased his unwavering dominance, dispelling any doubts about his capabilities despite his injury. From the onset, it was evident that Bolt had returned to form, setting a pace that left his competitors trailing in his wake. Even Bolt himself seemed surprised by the ease with which he reclaimed his spot at the top.
Throughout the evening, Bolt’s performance remained unmatched. With seamless victories in moto one and a strategically played reverse grid in moto two, Bolt navigated the track with finesse, making victory seem effortless.
However, the real showdown unfolded behind Bolt, with contenders like Manuel Lettenbichler, Dominik Olszowy, and Jonny Walker vying fiercely for podium positions. Olszowy’s collision with Mitch Brightmore in moto one added an unexpected twist, allowing Lettenbichler to secure second place. Meanwhile, Jonny Walker, who had previously been a strong contender, struggled significantly due to food poisoning overnight. This setback dealt a brutal blow to Walker at such a critical stage of the season.
Billy Bolt: “Tonight was a great night. Taking maximum points I couldn’t have really asked for better here. I really enjoyed my riding, and I enjoyed the track a lot. It was wide with plenty of sections for overtaking. I feel like I saved my best for last in race three. Once I got out front, I was able to push hard and really build up a lead. Naturally I’m excited for the final round next weekend in Newcastle. It’s my home race, I grew up beside the stadium, so I can’t wait to put on a show for my home crowd. My championship lead is very healthy, which eases the pressure slightly to take my fourth title in a row.”
As the night progressed, the battle for podium places intensified, culminating in a chaotic yet enthralling moto three. Despite Walker’s valiant effort, it was Will Hoare who clinched second place, underscoring the unpredictability of Super Enduro racing.
